Hi Ravr02.

I'm don't know about the other schools, but once when I contacted LBS, I got the impression that they prefer the GMAT there. I'm not sure what their position is, but what they said gave me that impression

Another possible reason to take the GMAT is because some post-MBA employers want to see GMAT scores.

All that said, the GRE should work for your purposes.

you can do two things here :
connect with adcom and consultants to have a clarity whether gmat or gre is required for your course
give a mock or else go through the course of both and do a self evaluation which suits you best..

Hi Ravr02,

Why don't you reach out to the folks in admissions at your desired schools to see if they prefer one exam over the other? If they do not, take the exam where you excel most. If you are unsure of which exam, take the official GRE and GMAT practice exams, then make a final decision. Here is also a helpful article:
