I have been trying to schedule the GMAT examination since last Thursday but my debit card was rejected. (I have used the same card to pay for the GMAT prep material before without any issue). When I contacted my bank here in Sri Lanka (which is the leading private bank in Sri Lanka), their card centre people confirmed that the payment is blocked by the bank since the website (through which the GMAT payment is made) is blacklisted by them!
I went to the bank on Friday and they advised me to send a request to their card centre manager with the details of my exam and ask to allow a one-time payment using my debit card. When I called them a short while ago they told me it would take 2-3 working days to process my request (with yesterday and today being the weekend) and that they could not guarantee that it would be allowed...
It's so frustrating. Can anyone shed some light on this, please? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you use another card, or ask someone else to make the payment on your behalf?

Thank you for your comment. I managed to pay using a card from another bank. They also had initially blocked all international payments but lifted the restrictions for a limited period upon request.
