Hi,
I just took the gmat on 12/10 but ended up with the score of 350....
i want to raise my score up to 550 but dont know which gmat prep book to get. im always struggling with the RC n CR Im considering to get either KAPLAN 2012 + OG verbal or 8 MGMAT guides. which one u think is better? i plan to retake the gmat somewhere in Feb

As long as you are giving yourself enough time to prepare, I would definitely go with the MGMAT series. It's more thorough and really helps you nail the fundamentals. 200 points is by no means a modest score improvement so you will definitely want the solid grounding MGMAT provides.
Make sure to also work with official guide material (OG 12, OG Math and Verbal) so that when you are learning the strategies and concepts from the MGMAT series that you can apply them on actual GMAT questions. Of course MGMAT writes high-caliber questions (indeed they are often harder than actual GMAT questions) and you will want to use their practice tests.

MGMAT books are must have. Since you are planning to re-take the GMAT pretty soon, you should at least complete 8 MGMAT guides and OG problems that are listed in MGMAT guides. If you go through MGMAT guides, and do all listed OG problems, you will complete every single OG problem from 12th edition, 2nd edition quantitative, and 2nd edition verbal.
It is better to concentrate on a few good books rather than trying to complete and cram as many books as you can.
