Hi people,
I am giving my gmat next Monday (13th September) and have been scoring round about 680, 690 in MGMAT CATs. While in MGMAT, when I got 16 wrong in Verbal, my verbal score was around 35-36, I observed today that after giving my gmap prep , my overall score was just a mere 650- QUANTS - 47 ( WITH 12 WRONG) AND VERBAL 32 ( WITH 13 WRONG). I am totally disappointed with this score. I thought that getting 13 wrong would fetch me at least 36-37. Let me explain to u the verbal split up - out of 12 SC-4 wrong, CR - 4 wrong and RC ( 5 wrong). A point to be noted is that I got all the questions in the second RC wrong. Is there a possibility that my low verbal score is primarily because of getting the set of three consecutive RCs wrong?
Please guys help me out...I am seriously tensed with this low score

You need to understand that number of questions right or wrong is no indication of your score. GMAT Prep will assess your scores by a relative hardness level. For instance, before I started preparing for the GMAT, I took GMAT Prep I, and I scored a 690. I had 11 questions wrong in Quant but I had a 49 and I had 11 wrong in Verbal but that was a 34.
So you might have gotten a lot of easier questions wrong. Don't count your questions, make them matter more.

Ya i get ur point, but m not comparing Verbal and quants here. My point is that I would like to know if getting 12 wrong in verbal would always mean a mere 32 or its 32 because of getting consecutive RCs wrong or getting a string of easy ones wrong? Because I remember some of my friends getting 36-38 in spite of getting around 12 wrong in Verbal....Just want to know if this is a case or surely 12 wrong in verbal would mean nothing more than 32-33
