In May Mr Lee earnings are 60% of the total family income, and in june Lee earned 20% more than he earned in may.If rest of the family income is same in both the months,then in June , Lee earnings where what percent of the family's total income.

I think the answer is 72%.

Setup like this 120 x 0.6=72%

Correct?

A.

Consider the value of total income as 100.
Mr Lee earnings are 60% of the total family income --> 60
Rest of the family income--> 40

in june Lee earned 20% more than he earned in may --> 1.2 * 60 = 72
rest of the family income is same in both the months, in june --> 40
Total income in june --> 72 + 40 -->112

Lee earnings where what percent of the family's total income : \(\frac{72}{112} * 100\) --> 64(approx.)

IMO A 64%

Take lee income as 60 and total family income as 100

I took the total family income to be 100 even after the increase, missed the point that the remaining family income remains the same... :( which means the new family income should be 112 and not 100. :?
