Statment 2 is sufficient alone because...

If you sold 90 total in 7 days and 38 on Saturday, you have 52 books left. If you sold less than 11 (meaning at least 10) on Friday, you have 42 books left. Then the most you could sell is 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 on the remaining days. That would give you 42-9-8-7-6-5= 7 books

So you need to sell more than 11 books on Friday in order to sell all 90 if you sold 38 on Saturday.

How 9,8,7,6,5 books be sold on other days?? the question says -- Store S sold different number of copies on any two days?? can somebody explain..
