WHAT is an incorrect pronoun usage in A
However, C uses SOMETHING which is a correct pronoun and is a correct and clear sentence.So answer should be C

C

Need to use "such as" - eliminate B & E

D - not considered a previous possibility - previous should modify considered, not possibility.

A - "the other infections" does not sound right to me.


I should note that C does not sound great either, because "something..." sounds a bit informal to me. However, it can still be used. "The other infections," however, does not work for me because it sounds as though the sentence is referring to a previously mentioned list of infections, which is clearly not the case.
