Hi,
I wanted to take the Diagnostic Test to understand where I stand, so I took the Practice Exam (out of the 2 available for free) on the GMAT Prep Software yesterday and scored really really bad. I skipped the AWA and Integrated Reasoning section (by randomly answering all the questions) as I was told that the IR score doesn't add up to the "Total". The results of Diagnostic Test really really low.
(IR - 1 (as I wanted to skip this section), Q - 43, V - 16).
In the review section I observed the following.
Quants (18 Incorrect)
Verbals (19 Incorrect)
Scaled Score is the following.
Integrated Reasoning - 1 (Percentile: 0) (I wanted to skip this section)
Quants - 43 (Percentile: 61)
Verbal - 16 (Percentile: 11)
Total - 490.
Can someone please clarify if the new GMAT Prep Software considers the Integrated Reasoning score to the Total Score? Please help.

No, the IR score is not a part of your total out of 800. Also, IR score has no bearing on your Quant and Verbal raw scores. It is just an independent score like the AWA score.
You should focus on fundamentals of Verbal and advanced concepts of Quant. I don't know how you study best (self study/classroom course/on demand course etc) but whatever works for you, start on it right away.
I see that your English is decent so a good review of a test prep's Verbal material should bump up your Verbal score very quickly. To get you started, let me give you a link of our blog. We discuss tons of Quant and Verbal strategies there. It will give you a good idea of what to expect from a course if you do decide to take one.
