Hyderabad Study Group Meet Up

Hi all,
How wud the idea of we all meeting up at a some Venue

A simple meet up, networking, at the max spend on Coffee and spend quality time in discussion...
Itenary
1) Introduction, get to know each other ...15 Minutes
2) Knowledge sharing: Each person's inputs on where he stands w.r.t the beast (GMAT), and whats his strategy, did he/she join any coaching institute, blah blah...30 minutes
3) Try to identify and create a buddy system, based on Exam dates, current status of preparation, and vicinity from each other....15 minutes
4) Specific FAQs....like when is the R1 cut-offs, which college is gud for 1 year programs..etc....Noone is a expert here, so the group wud try and address FAQs, from whatever information it may have...15 minutes...

Wind Up....after a small round of cheering, motivation.....

In totality, it shud take say not more than 1 Hr 30 minutes...Eg., say we come by 4pm, 5.30 we leave...and lets treat the mutually agreed timing as a deadline...to avoid late coming...before we freeze, may be we can accept views till 24th....and 26th we would post Final Venue and Timing...

Even if we end up with only say, 2-3 ppl being interested in this meet up, we would go ahead and do it....So guys post your views...Lets freeze this meetup and fix a date/timing (preferably 1st May)....

Note: This thread is shared across different forums, like, beatthegmat, pagalguy, etc...idea is to get as many serious participants, as one can..to make it more effective...No surroaget advertising plans/marketing wud be entertained....pure knowledge sharing, and no Crap...

Hi

I have taken GMat Prep test and I scored around 480 .I scored 42 in Quants and 15 in Verbal.I think i need to improve my english.what should be my approach for it?

Yeah I had an unsuccessful attempt at GMAT in 2009 with a score I am not happy with. I had started my preparation once again beginning with my weak area- verbal! Thinking of retaking the test in Oct/Nov.

I took Gmat almost six months back and scored around 740 with guidance of some friends who are pursuing MBA from a premium institute in Hyderabad. Firstly , this was romzi's idea, I have seen him posting queries regarding a Meet in Hyderabad ! I am trying to contact him to take this further !

1. Let us meet this weekend ( perhaps a Sunday ? )

2. Agenda of the meeting ?

( Discuss SC techniques clubbed from Manhattan Gmat, Aristotle and some Gmat videos out there )
(Enlightenment on Right material Section wise ( Basic concepts refresher and Advanced 700 practice questions )
( Insight on Manhattan Strategy guides , Powerscore CR and RC materials )
( Insight on Gmat Club tests , How it helps your Gmat Score )

3. If more people are interested , provision for material (all that you been looking around for ages or either those expensive ones) shall be provided among ourselves for a fraction of the cost.

4. Free cappucino --

Lets meet at Coffee Day or Barista ! How many of you are interested ! please send responses here. Based on responses i get here , i will send a word ( registration form ) document. Fill it in and send back to me, so that i can arrange for coffee for all members attending the event
