Hi All,
Could you please provide an explanation for this question from the GMAT Prep. I guessed on this answer and would appreciate you explanation.
Also there is a website that u can use to convert your word doc into a url which you can imbedd into your post. Can someone suggest an appropriate website.

When you take a screen-shot, paste it in MS Paint and save it as jpeg.... upload your jpeg file just as you would your doc file ....

Here let us take angle ABD = y
we know from the diagram that angle ADB = 180 -2x

sum of angles in a triangle = 180
so BAD + ABD + ADB = 180
x + y + 180-2x = 180
y - x = 0
or x = y

this means that line AD = line BD ( isosceles triangle)
and we know from diagram that BD = BC ( isosceles triangle)

so if we know the length of AD or BD, we can determine the length of BC

Statement 1) AD = 6. Sufficient
Statement 2) Only angle provided. No info about any length. Insufficient.
