1..... A is correct... Explanation: First take - Subjunctive verb.... approved should be used with 'that' here...(since the mood is subjunctive) Hence ....B,C,D,E are anyway out.....
Other reasons... B - making provision is wrong verb tense....(was approved..... established) C - The starting itself is wrong.... means - Act of congress approved the date (Apr 24...) and this date made the provision.. D - Approved Apr 24.... is a modifier for the act of congress and hence act of congress should immediately follow this. E - is wrong because 'that' is amust.... it similar to say ... Approved apr 24... X ...did A... also did B... this sounds weird as A is being used to define X... hence it would be better as Approved Apr 24... X...that did A.... also did B...
A - Wrong. As passing is not correct.. since this act has been passed in 1999. which is important is this cases as it shows the link between the act and the things which were possible after this was passed. B- the start is correct.. but the pronoun they in the last does the blunder.... it refers back to companies... which is wrong C - start is correct... no pronoun used... and also it clear defines the sequence of the actions done by cybersquatters which is important.... they register.. with the intent of selling them later....... 'selling them later' is the correct form... as it defines the next action compared to register. D - passed and allows dont match... this should be in sync.... E - passed and allowing... also they haunts us again!
in this fragment..... 'expect automakers,......., to set dividends more conservatively than they were' means that dividends should be set more conservatively than the automakers... this is wrong as the author means.. that the dividends should be set more conservatively.. than they were previously set.
Hence A & B are out...
D and E... have excess of pronouns and this makes it quite difficult to understand their antecedents.. more over pronouns should only be used when necessary!
C gives the correct picture... and hence is the answer.... it correctly identifies the comparison!

I realized that the answers in Manhattan GMAT forums are really good if the questions are from GMATPrep. I would recommend it to everyone who has doubts in GMATPrep. If we have doubts in GMATPrep, we can search in the below mentioned URL. The reason, I am recommending it is because I gained a lot from this. We can get some rules from them which can be applied.. The explanation is really good and that would drive the point home. Please check the URL: https://www.manhattangmat.com/forums/gmat-prep-verbal-f31.html
If we read the question in OG Q.87, we have a similar question. We can have a blind rule here too that has been mentioned: whenever you use a parallel structure with omitted/elided words, the EXACT omitted word(s) MUST be present, IN PARALLEL STRUCTURE, elsewhere in the sentence. this means in exactly the same form - no alterations, no tense changes, no nothing.
I have my exam on Monday.. Any suggestions/advice would be welcome.
