Just had to post that I had a confidence boosting practice test experience today! I did GMAT Prep2 and scored a 710 (Q48, V40). That is my highest prep score to date. In the past month my scores have been hovering in the 650-690 range but I just couldn't break 700.
I have taken the GMAT twice and man was I unprepared those times. I completely botched the pacing on the quant section in my first attempt and ended up guessing on the last 5 questions. Then I let that affect my verbal performance (normally my strong suit with scores under 42 being VERY uncommon). Overall I got a 540.
Wrote again a month later and while I "felt" better about pacing, I was still unprepared in quant and again, psyched myself out in verbal. I got a 580.
So I've spent the last month studying more strategically, taking a closer look at which quant sections were tripping me up. Focusing more on process of elimination, making sure that I estimate where I can and any shortcuts to get to the answer faster. It has paid off immeasureably!
Going in to tomorrow's exam I feel calmer and hopeful that I will walk away with a score over 700.
