Hi team,

I'm new to Gmat. I need help in Gmat quants preparation. Is Kaplan math workbook or manhattan prep quant books a better buy? Please advice on how I can proceed with quant prep. Do let me know the best books for Quant preparation.

Hi
The Mgmat guides are the best books for both Quant and Verbal. They are comprehensive and cover all topics of the Gmat. After going through the Mgmat guides, you can start solving questions from the OG in a timed manner. Alternatively you can also study from the Ultimate Quant megathread. It contains sufficient theory for the Gmat, then you can start solving the OG.
Hope it helps.

Hi RenjinAbraham,

You can try out the MGMAT guides as they are phenomenal and cover the entire syllabus really well. MGMAT's Foundation of GMAT Math guide is very helpful to brush up your basics. I must add that if you are particularly looking to discover and improve on your weak areas in Quant; a subscription to GMATCLUB tests is the best way to do that. They are indeed phenomenal and will not only pinpoint your weak areas but also help you improve on them.

Further taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practise tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of OG and the verbal review for some great additional practice. Here is a link that will help you with your decision.

Hope this helps. All the best.

In my view Manhattan will get you closer to the 700 whereas Kaplan is less advanced

Try Target Test Prep, very well build program for Quant. Books are good, but self-paced platform that tracks progress, errors and have a good trace to follow is worth to consider. I am now studying on this course, so I am advicing from my own experience.
