1. They are different oration banks. Most of the questions you’ll find will be medium and easy difficulty for many reasons one of which is that they’re not that many hard questions because they’re really hard to write but you’ll get some hard ones.

I wouldn’t make the mistake of chasing hard questions however. You need to perfect your easy and medium questions before moving on to hard.

2. The official guide question bank it’s pretty much the same as the book. Unfortunately I don’t know how hard the questions are in the additional practice banks, but usually you can count on only about 20% being of heart difficulty in any official source.

3. You can wait and buy more practice questions only when you need them. You already have access to about 2500 questions and that’s more than enough for most people.
Thank you so much for your response, I would like to clarify that I only have access to the questions on the books and not the questions banks ( 975 OG, 230 quant review, 275 verbal review, 275 DI review ). That being said, do I need the question bank, and if so, do I need to purchase only the ebook and question-bank of the OG or additionally purchase the ebooks and question-banks for each of the sections reviews?

Hi edafne1,

As bb mentioned, you can get the official practice questions bundle later, if you need more questions. As for the other part of your question, you don't need to purchase the online question bank, as access should already be included with your OGs.
Thank you AjiteshArun

I would like to clarify that I only have access to the questions on the books and not the questions banks as I'm only using a copy that a friend shared with me. Do I need the question bank, and if so, do I need to purchase only the ebook and question-bank of the OG or additionally purchase the ebooks and question-banks for each of the sections reviews?

Ps: how many medium/hard questions are there in each of the OG question bank and in each of the sections view guides?
With regard to the distribution of easy/medium/hard questions, you can take a look at the product review on Amazon US of GMAT Official Guide 2024-2025 Bundle: Books + Online Question Bank.

Look for a review by GMAT Genius, and you'll see detailed breakdown of the questions by level of difficulty and by question type. There are also screenshots of the online question banks attached to the review, through which you'll get a clearer idea of the structure of the various question banks.

Although this review was for the OG edition 2024-2025, the most recent edition 2025-2026 will largely be the same, as there is significant overlap between the two.

Hi edafne1,

Copied and pasted the screenshots of question banks here, just in case you could not locate them.

Hi edafne1,

The books are fine for quant and verbal. They also have DS questions (for the DI section). However, the print books don't have the other DI questions (MSR, 2PA, TA, and GI). Basically, the questions with multiple selection, dropdowns, and tabs are online-only. By the way, do you want to check with your friend if the codes have already been used? Even if your friend has used the codes, he or she may still have access to the question bank, as the access period is 1 year.

1. If you want the online question bank, you should actually buy the print books. I know this sounds strange, since you already have the print books, but the GMAT OG ebooks are usually more expensive. The print books are cheaper, they have codes for the same question banks, and you can sell or donate them after you're done with your exam.

2. I think you should get the bundle (you'll get more practice questions, and the bundle is almost always cheaper than buying each book separately). But the difference is not huge, so it's really your call.

3. The mba.com website also has a separate line of Official Practice Questions products. You don't need these at this stage.

Hello AjiteshArun,

Thank you for your response, to clarify I am confused wether I should purchase this one GMAT Official Guide Bundle 2025-2026: eBook & Online Question Bank for 109,99 or this one instead : GMATTM Official Practice Questions Bundle for 79,99 $. I also saw some reviews suggestions that there are very few medium/hard questions and more easy ones on the latter.

Considering this oneGMAT Official Guide Bundle 2025-2026: eBook & Online Question Bank for 109,99, I have noticed based on gmat genius's review that on the global OG, there are approximately 205 questions in total that are ONLINE-EXCLUSIVE ( all the sections combined ) that are divided into 37 Quant, 108 DI, 58 Verbal
however on each of the the ebooks related to each section individually, there are respectively: 18 online-exclusive for QUANT, 100 for DI, 24 for VERBAL, so the cost for the ebooks of each section is significantly higher considering that it offers more questions for a 3/4 of the OG ebook price ( even though they're cheaper in a bundle ) therefore, I was debating wether it's really worth the price for an addition of few questions.

Also, I have a pdf copy of the official guide so no I do not have access to the question bank code and there isn't an OG&question bank kindle version available for sale on Amazon, only for the sections' ebooks.
that being said, if you know anyone willing to resell their question bank access code, I would be most grateful.

thank you once again

AjiteshArun

Hi edafne1,

If you already have all the books in the Official Guide Bundle, there's no real reason to buy them again, unless you really want access to the online question bank.

As for the Official Practice Questions Bundle, you could get that later on, when you need more practice questions. There's no need to purchase it right now if you're just starting prep. Use the practice questions in your books first, and then buy additional resources as and when you need to.

If you've used the official question bank before, would you say that it's worth purchasing all the OG books and their respective question banks all although I already have the books pdf format or I can rely solely on the books and mocks and the gmat club question bank?

If you’re talking about the question banks that come with each book, the only one that is worth getting is the one for data insights because the book or the PDF do not have any multi source or table or graph questions.

All the other question banks are the same content +10 to 15% bonus content which are the questions removed from the previous edition of the book - the questions that were decommissioned from the current version but otherwise it’s an exact copy

This is not to be confused with the practice question banks that GMAC offers which are completely different from the books, and would be worth buying even if you have the books, assuming you need that much more practice. There is obviously a limit to how much value there is in practicing questions and the more you practice, the less marginal value there is

I'm a tutor, so I have all the OGs, and I do use the online question banks as well (access period for the online platform is 1 year). However, if I were you, I'd just start prep with the official guides I have (in your case, the ones your friend gave you). You can always get more material later, when you think you need it. There's no particular reason to buy everything right now. To be clear, if you purchase the main OG, you'll get access to the MSR, 2PA, GI, and TA questions (that aren't included in the print version), and a few extra practice questions from each section that aren't really worth it. If you get the DI OG, you'll again get access to the MSR, 2PA, GI, and TA questions (not included in the print version). The questions in the quant, verbal, and DI OGs are different from the questions in the main OG.

As for the GMAT club question bank, maybe another forum member can give you a recommendation. What I can say is that I don't think there's even one question in any of the OGs that isn't also there on GMAT club.

If you already have the OG books, start with those and only pay for the online question bank if you really need the online only DI formats or you cannot use your friend access code. You can always buy the Practice Questions bundle later when you start running low on official questions.

Thanks for your response, if I could only get one, should I go for the OG global question bank ( the 900 pages book ) or the DI review book's question bank? and are they necessary by any means or practicing on gmat lab would be sufficient?

Alright thank you so much for your feedback, you've been extremely helpful. What I got is that if I had to choose only one, I should go for the DI OG instead of the global OG in terms of question banks because the DI is the only section that doesn't have enough questions on the Global OG ( both the print version + question bank ); but that isn't mandatory since all the question banks of the main OG and section OGs are available on the gmat club.
