GMAT Registration: Passport does not have current address

Hello everyone,
Upon trying to register for the GMAT Online exam, I was asked to fill out my address details. I wrote to the GMAC Customer Service email asking if this address should match the one on my Passport (document for identification). And they replied saying that it should. (Country: India)
Their reply - "Make sure your Profile address matches the one on your ID that you will be using to begin your exam."
1. Will this address be used for any purpose? Or can I fill in the old address (the one on the passport) and go ahead with the process without any issues? I mean, will GMAC be sending anything to this address? Or use it for anything at all?
2. Is it advisable to try and get the address on my passport updated? (As of now, I am unsure as to how many days this will take).
I haven't yet booked a slot for my GMAT.
3. Has anyone used other forms of ID for the exam? (Country: India) Did you face any issues?

Hi red97,
I don't want to say that Examity customer service is wrong about this, but it shouldn't be an issue. For what it's worth, I've seen many cases in which a student used a passport with an address different from their current address to take the test center GMAT.
Do you want to use your Aadhar card instead? It's allowed for the GMAT Online exam.

Just to clarify - Examity customer service asked me to contact GMAC and it was GMAC customer service that responded this way. Hence, it got me more worried as it was coming straight from GMAC.
I had read a few posts of users who faced a few problems while using Aadhaar as ID proof and am feeling apprehensive.
Anyway, I guess I'll keep both the Passport and the Aadhaar handy, just in case. If they raise any issue with the different address mentioned on the passport - I'm hoping they'll allow me to use Aadhaar instead at that point. Again, thanks for your response.
