Hi I wanted to understand the importance of giving GMAT for the marketing analytics and insights program in NUS. Below is my experience and education
1) I have 5 and a half years of WE primarily in Brand strategy and retail marketing (the later has been in billion dollar companies). 2) I have an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (Symbiosis International University) with a GPA of 2.4/4 3) I have a first class in Bachelors in Commerce from Bangalore University
My interest in the program stems from the fact that I strongly believe that analytics and generating insights out of data will add a substantial level of skills to my current work as a brand manager in retail marketing. The NUS website has 'recommended' GMAT and I have been preparing for about 6 months while working full time. My preparation is/was 'half baked' and it showed in my scores. I received a paltry 440 and an average 540 in my first two attempts. I am thinking of applying to the course without the GMAT score since my confidence has taken a beating and Round 1 deadline of the applications is fast approaching.
Please advice on what I need to do. Do i attempt it once more or do I apply for the program without a GMAT score. Inputs from current/former students of the program will be highly useful. In fact any inputs will be highly useful.
