Since you have a few more months until round 1, you could rethink your plan of not retaking the test. Clearly, the verbal section is your biggest challenge. You should purchase the ESR report to find which sub-section is your weakness: CR, SC, or RC? You could surely make some significant gains in 1-2 months. You do not need to practice a lot to surge your Quant score from 45 to 48+. Regular practice over a month will get your score to that level. I personally believe online courses are far better than the classroom course offered by Indian prep companies. I do not want to sound difficult but a 590 is not a competitive score for the schools you mentioned.

Hi Bohemia,

Based on the Schools that you are interested in, this GMAT Score would probably not be a 'plus' for your applications. That having been said, there might be other aspects of your profile that would be more important than your GMAT Score, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts can give you a better assessment of how your profile might be viewed and offer additional advice on what you might work on (beyond improving your GMAT Score) There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

Based on the list of study resources you used, I think that you may have been trying to 'juggle' a variety of different philosophies and strategies about how to approach the GMAT - and you just didn't quite hone the necessary skills to consistently score at a higher level. The good news is that the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. You have to really *want* to do that training though - and it sounds as though you might be a bit 'burned out' from your prior studies. As such, you might want to take a little time off - and if you decide that you want to continue studying, then we can discuss how best to approach this next phase of your studies.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Bohemia,

Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. I can understand why you may not want to retake the GMAT; however, if you decide to give it another go, I’d be happy to provide some advice regarding a retake.

Feel free to reach out with further questions.
