Hi, and thanks for writing! While a 680 is not a bad score by any means, if you're targeting the Top 10 I would aim for 700+ and specifically, would focus on strengthening the quantitative raw score to at least the mid-40s if possible. The good news is that it sounds like it could come with just a bit of practice (since nailing down timing is definitely tough!) and there's nothing wrong with taking the exam a few times (if anything, it's seen as a sign of persistence).

Best of luck and let me know of any other questions! :-D

Just took my GMAT and I scored a 680. Not the score I was hoping for, since I was able to hit a 750 and 730 on the OG CAT tests when I did them myself, and have been studying for the past 3 months. I think I got anxious and didn't time myself properly on the quant section.

My goal is to get into a top 10 MBA program. This past summer I interned at an MBB, and will be starting full time in the fall. I believe I will be working there for two years before I go to business school.

So here are my stats:
Asian American Female
680 GMAT (42Quant, 41 Verbal)
3.64 Undergrad GPA from Top 7 school
STEM and Government double major
+2 years of MBB

Should I reconsider taking my GMAT? What should my target score be?
