Okay,

I just verified. I agree. 31 day window period is compulsory

A while ago the policy was indeed once every calendar month, but they have changed it to be every 31 days only.
That's correct If you took your test at 8 AM on the 16th of November, you can retake it at 8 AM on the 17th of December (that's 31 days, right - my math is correct?)

Quote:
You may take the GMAT exam once every 31 calendar days and no more than five (5) times in a rolling 12-month period. If you score an 800 on the exam, you will be prohibited from testing for five (5) years from your exam date.

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure since it doesn't warn you about about the 31 day policy when you're registering for the exam.

Any insight regarding the score reports? Is leaving ~21-24 days for the score reports to be sent and processed by the universitites sufficient? (21 days if I decide to take it on the 20th of December instead of the 17th)

Plenty of time - often they make it in just a few days. I would say 90% make it in under a week.
