Hello All,
I need some advise because I am down to earth now and I can't believe I got this score.
I took my first GMAT on 4th of May and got a 550 (Q46,V21, IR4). I practice for 5 month for this test. The advise that I got was that I was studying from the wrong material. I enrolled for
e-gmat because everyone was saying that this is the best score to improve verbal score.
I studied for 6 month and today I got a score of 580 (Q46,V24, IR6). After 6 months of study, I expected that the worst case would be a 650. I studied for 2 hours on weekdays and 4-5 hours on weekends.
I took 4 GMAT prep exams (2 repeated and 2 new GMATPRERP 3 and GMATPREP 4) The scores are as below:
GMATPREP1 660 (Q47, V34) (repeated)
GMATPREP2 640 (Q47, V31) (repeated)
GMATPREP3 710 (Q50, V35) (new)
GMATPREP4 680 (Q50, V30) (new)
So I think I'd at least expect a V30 in the real one. With that, I am studied for almost a year now so I think this is just my ability in verbal giving the education system that I was raised with here in my country.
I wanted to know from any experts what are my chances to get accepted in the below schools given my experience. Also, the recommendations that the GMAC is giving me is excellent to some schools including IE.
Male 26 years old from Egypt. 4 years of experience (2 in Cairo, Egypt and 2 in Dubai, UAE) both in huge multinationals FMCGs.
I have a Bachelor and Masters in Engineering. GPA equivalent to 3.3
I speak 3 languages (English, Arabic, German).
I have an excellent track record in competitive swimming on National, African and international level.
I wanted to apply for:
IE, IESE, Oxford, ESSEC, Mannheim . (Basically because their entrepreneurship program is very strong except for Mannheim).
Can someone advise if I even have a very small chance to get accepted there ?
Also, any advise if I should take the GMAT again, what can I do differently this time because it seems that nothing is working? This exam has taken over my life and I can't spend more time with no output like the last time.
