Hi all,
I'm not sure whether the following query might qualify as "sharing a GMAT experience", but I'll try regardless.
So far I've taken the exam twice, nevertheless I've registered for the exam two more times, in the course of which I haven't attended the test center (due to quarantine and a personal reason). In both of these "unattempted" attempts, my GMAC account states that I have attended the GMAT test center, even though there is no score appearing in my GMAC account (see the attached file).
Could you please clarify whether these "unattempted" attemps count towards the GMAT retake limitation (i.e., 5 times in the trailing 12 months and 8 times throughout the liftime) and whether I should least those as attempts in the applicable MBA applications (some of the schools do ask for the no. of attempts).

An appointment ONLY 'counts' towards your 8-attempt lifetime limit (and 5-attempts in 12-months limit) if you physically show up and begin the Exam. The listings involving the Exams that you did not actually take is likely just for your personal accounting/record-keeping. It's interesting that there is no 'label' identifying that you did not actually take those 2 attempts, but that's ultimately an issue to bring up with Customer Service at www.mba.com.
