This might be silly but, if let's say you took gmat once and 30 days later plan to retake. When you retake, does GMAT evaluates you just like someone who are taking it for the first time, or it takes into consideration your performance last time?

It is not supposed to take your past performance into consideration. I think it would be pretty tough to do and quite a bit of work to work out.

Perspective here is that each test is a one shot attempt at a new set of questions. However, the computer does have all your past information, but I do not think it is highly likely to affect any future attempts at the GMAT.

After your first attempt, the computer will treat you as if you are appearing for the test very first time. Don't worry,he won't judge you on your previous score, but on the performance on this present day. :)

Very interesting question ! I doubt that it'll factor in your past performance while deciding what questions to give you this time

The reason you wait a month is for the question pool to reset (low to no risk of a test taker seeing the same question between two test sitting).
