I haven't found a previous discussion about it on these forums, but do you get knocked by B-schools for taking the GMAT 2 or 3 times? Anyone accepted to top-5 schools who has written it more than once?
No you do not. I find this to be a BIG misconception about the GMAT. Last night I attended Columbia's info session, and the rep explained that one self reports their GMAT score, and official scores are only requested once one is admitted. At this point, the ad com is just confirming the scores "match" - and according to my MGMAT instructor - this "match up" is typically done by an undergraduate intern.
