Go with E. Its brief. Its better than use of with which in B.

The use of "they" in the other options is ambigous.

OA is D

This is how I went for ‘D’. Allow me to post my reasoning so that it can be validated..

(A) 'Based on...' - Introductory modifier (or phrase) dangles..
It fails to relate to the main clause. It leaves enough room for ambiguity.
I can interpret like this – women collaborate now but they just follow ancient records.
That they used to dress is wordy – they dressed is a better usage

(B) Same problem as the introductory modifier
Past perfect tense is not required especially when it is followed by infinitive
Both past perfect (had) and infinitive (to dress) is not parallel with depicted

(C) Introductory modifer better thant (a) and (B)
Used to dress – is wordy
Second that seems to modify woolen robe and again it is followed by this robe - redundant

(D) Looks good

(E) Records…. indicate each year like how a calendar shows months & years .. – bad diction
For dressing - (for me) again bad diction. It is more used for covering injuries.

This is actually quite easy when you look for the correct ||ism here.

I noticed that "that" is in the last part of the sentence in fact its written as

"and that..." this means there must be another that in the begining.

Only C and D stand.

If you read D ul see that the "that" in this is much clearer and is correct.

C gives puts the that in the wrong place, causing improper ||ism
