Hi i just gave the gmat on 18th may 2012. I am looking forward to apply in any of the reputed B schools. But i am really disappointed by my score.

GMAT score 660. Quant 48 Verbal 32.

This was my first attempt.

I have done my graduation in PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY (INDUSTRIAL/MECHANICAL Engg.) from Punjab Engg. College Chandigarh, India).

I currently have 4 years of work experience and will be 5 years when in join MBA in fall 2013.
I am currently working for Maruti Suzuki India Limited(India's No. 1 4 wheel automobile company) as a Maruti Suzuki After Sales Support Representative.

Currently looking after the customer complaint handing, resolution of technical problems, manpower training for both Domestic and Exports Dealers/Distributors of Maruti Suzuki.

I am working with a team of 4 members and i also have the responsibility of Training the freshers.

Kindly tell me what chances do i have to get thru some of the good management colleges ??
What is the next step??? What collgs to apply??

Thanks for sharing your info. There's still a lot for you to consider as you embark on the MBA admissions journey. Do you know which schools you're applying to? And why did you select those schools? If your goal is to attend one of the top programs in the US, one challenge you will face is describing the work you're doing. Making sure it's clear to the adcom that there is a career progression and trajectory to your work will be a priority. Also, detailing why you want your MBA, and what your future plans are post-graduation will be vital.

Still lots to think about, and I recommend you do a bit more basic research to get these important questions answered.

Hello,

The definition of "GOOD MANAGEMENT COLLEGES" is broad, let me try to help you to find something meaningful out of this

1) Which area of specialization are you looking for ?
2) Where do you want to settle post MBA ?
3) Do you want to do one year MBA / Two year MBA ?

Go to the ranking of business schools (US and non US) , research on the same and link the same to your identified needs.

The next step is essay and recommendations, but you have to first identify the schools that you wanna explore for your future studies.

The last step is interviews and decision making (choosing an offer out of the offered ones).

Ya i know definition for good B-Schools is too broad to ask. But still i wanna ask to get at least a hint of what my next step should be and with all your help i think i will be able to make out d next step.

1. Area of specialization I'm looking for is either marketing/finance/operations.
2. Dats a big question to ask about the settlement. Might be U.S. only. But i certainly wanna come back to India becoz my long term goal is to do my own business in India after doing MBA and doing job for 4-5 years.
3. I would prefer 1 year MBA.

Yeah dats what im doing currently these days, exploring b-schools, going thru FT rankings, but i still need some help from your side to give me some good B-schools name wherein i can apply with a score of 660 (avg. score 660) and with this profile mentioned earlier.
