The 5 schools you initially send to receive the scores for free. If you want to send scores to additional schools, however, it'll cost a fee. The MBA applications themselves are not waived, though. Might be worth exploring whether your intended school(s) offer waivers separately, though.

What would be the benefit of sending the scores for free if again I have to apply separately by paying the application fee?

Because if you do not send the sores for free, you will have to pay a fee to send your GMAT scores and pay an application fee.

Hi Ganguly93,

Applications and score reporting are not the same thing. Score reporting is like a score verification service. So if an applicant mentions that he or she got a 700 on the GMAT, any program that he or she is applying to can confirm that is indeed the case. This is not something that schools will do immediately, but it is important for them to have this capability.
