Dear friends ,
I gave my GMAT exam last week .It was in evening slot at 4 pm . As the exam started , it took 27 mins to complete essay , and i devoted remaining three minutes to make correction and error rectification.After AWA , 1 minute was given to start I.R. . Pattern of questions was in following order: two part analysis ( about 3-4 questions) , Graphical Intrepretation ( 2 ques) and followed by Tabular & multi source reasoning .Luckily.this sequence was favourable for me , but questions were little tricky . I completed 8 of them and further in MSR made few guesses . Then i was given 8 minutes break . After break , quant portion began . First question in Quant was very elementary , took only 20 sec to answer .Later difficulty level increased, but at the same after every 3 medium level question ,1~ 2 easy level question were appearing. Most of the time , i was little bit confused because question were very easy in D.I. which resulted my multiple time checking the answer befor clicking on the option.Similiar experience was with P.S. , I had enough time to cross check the answer with other alternative methods to make sure , my arrived answer is right .Thumb rule ,which i followed for managing time was to ensure completation of 5 ques in every 10 minutes. By last , i had 11 minutes , 6 questions and unluckily hard type of questions were appearing.So , i tried to solve questions quickly ,and clicked the answer tp move ahead ( Further i did n't cross check my firmed answeres, by putting values in questions or solving it by alternative method. In last question , i had 1:50 mins and that was the only question which after clicking option , i discovered that the answer was some thing else . By this time , i got tired and exhusted , so i rushed to rest room in 8 mins break.
I voluntarily ended my break 5 mins early , because of curiosity , questions of previous sections were appearing in mind.The next section was real test of my preparation. I knew well , this section will determine my final score ,as it was my weakest section. I had poor basics in Grammar and reading , and this often also led to my poor performance in accuracy and speed parameters. Most of time , i was able to solve problem but avearge time taken exceeded 3 mins.Similiar accuracy level during my preparation was 50 % in RC, 65% in CR and approx 65 % in SC. And from the point of time spending , In RC of 4 questions i used to take 10~11 mins , CR~ 2.2 mins and S.C. ~1.9 mins . I was well aware of the fact that slow speed and poor accuracy will land me in score ranging in 20+ . When i started exam , first question took around 3 mins . And i started to rush and tried to match my pace with timing . Again here i had a strategy , to complete 6 question in 10 mins. But in exam , i was not able to execute it , although it catalyzed me to match the predecided time frame. In last 10 mins , i had 7 questions including R.C. . In middle of exam i felt tired and , lost rhythem , and ended with methodolgy of just reading the questions and concluding the answer with help of intution rather POE or error detection. When exam completed , Score of 620 flashed on my screen , which was again discouraging. Although , Q50 was delightful as earlier on online tests , i did not crossed Q47 .
For verbal , i had refered a lot of materials :

Manhattan Sentence Correction , R.C. and C.R book
Powerscore C.R. BIBLE
EGMAT videos online , and demo available on their website
scholaratium Beta version ( SC- 70% Questions completed , CR- 50 % , RC - 20 % )
Various notes on CR ( Comprehension C.R - 1 page summary ) , SC ( RON's and )
100 SC (700 - 800 level questions ) , CR comprehension ( topic wise qustions )
RC- All GMATPREP RC collection .
And various posts by Naren , BB , Souvik , carcass,E-gmat and various other learned moderators.
I want to improve my Score in verbal to 40 +. And now it has became bigger challenge for me to score above 40 in Verbal.
I am planning to retake GMAT exam , Request suggestions to improve my current condition.Earlier i did n't take up any coaching ,So i am planning to look out for best options in my town to improve my verbal score .
Note : People can learn from few mistakes done by me during exams, and it is better to reschedule exam if you are not performing at par in any of sections.

What kind of timeline do you have in mind for this? I'm not sure how representative the 24 is, but as it stands, you're looking to move from a 36% to a 91% (or more) in verbal.
When you do take the exam again, please take the full break. 3 minutes is probably not enough. Most people need a little more time to (mentally) move on from the quant section and focus on the verbal. Also, you might want to eat something (chocolate!) between sections.

From what you have written, I think that the major probelm is with the timing part and this is a problem which most of the test takers face. To increase your speed, you need to practice a lot and also try to apply strategies that can speed up the process of solving the questions.
I would recommend you to go for a reputed online learning platform instead of an unknown private tutor in town. You can go through the reviews here at GMAT Club and then choose as per your needs.
