Hi,
My GMAT score is 680 (84 percentile). Split
Quant - 50 - 88 percentile
Verbal - 31 - 61 percentile
IR - 5 - 52 percentile
My verbal score is rather lower than my expectation (74-78). I know schools does not have any hard stop for scores as long as other criteria is superior. But i have a question is my verbal score too low that my application can be rejected right away?
Brief about my background -
Education - PhD (Chemistry)
Undergrad GPA - 3.0
Work experience 3 years (USA, after PhD) + 2 years (India, after undergrad)
Schools targeted - Sloan, Duke, UNC, Emory, Georgia tech, University of Virginia, UT-Austin.
Can someone please tell what can be my chances for these schools.

I have more than 07 years of experience in Project strategic Procurement/Purchase function with SIEMENS.
Please let me know which field you are interested into during your MBA ?
Have you shortlisted any colleges yet ? Please share with me your list.
What are chances to get in to Duke, ISB Cornell, Kellog at 680 ?
Any suggestion....

A retake could be very beneficial for you. A V35+ would make your score more balanced. The other aspects of your app look good though you must have a very clear plan since they will question you on why MBA after PhD.
