Hi All,

just gave the test.....the score is neither too gud to be happy nor too bad to brood about...
I'm planning to go for MS Finance at LBS. I'm also looking at MS Fin courses offered at other univs like CMU, Princeton.
Not sure if I can make it?
Can some one throw light on this?

Share with us the quant pattern. How was it? Very tough compared to the practive material - OG, Kaplan, MGMAT or Challenge question?

How about probablity and P/C questions?

Hi Rahul,

Thanx for the wishes...
abt my quant section, it was more of less tough for me all the while..
I saw myslef really pressing too hard to answer the questions..
I got about 3 permutations/combinations Qs...
they were of average toughness..
but, geomerty was truly intricate...
Time was truly a big issue for me 'coz the questions were lengthy...
I myself was surprised when I saw the score...'coz I expected around 48 percentile in quant...

abt the prep material, believe me I hardly prepared anything apart from doing the two quant sections in the PP CATs...probably, thats one reason why I felt the section a bit tough....
I tried a few problems on 'PnC' and 'work' from kaplan....
before going to the exam, I gave one full length GMAT CAT (Kaplan) and scored 550 :(
so, thought I would not take any more...
apart from this, I did not do much of prep....

But, sadly, my verbal is not so...I thougth I was doing a good job at it...I guess, I should hav answered the first 2 Qs wrong...othewise, I dont see any reason for such a low VErbal Score..

nyways, I guess, there is no point in fretting about it now...

Your Quant score is amazing!
You can try for Haas (UC Berkely) if you are interested in, they look for Quant score in GMAT, I think you stand good chance as far as GMAT part of the appln is concerned...
