Hi guys,
I recently gave my GMAT and the scores were:
TOTAL - 720
VERBAL - 41 (94th %ile)
QUANT - 48 (69th %ile)
IR - 8
I am targetting for top 10 B Scools. My consultant is of a view that I cannot get an admit in the target schools because of low percentile in Quant section. He is suggesting for a retake. But I am afraid that what if my scores go even worse on the retake. Also, I am a little hesitant to prepare again.
Guys need your advice on whether I should retake my GMAT or not?
Please guide me.

Welcome to GMATClub.
Well, I sort of agree with your consultant. Top 10 schools will surely put emphasis on Quant score unless you have a very steller profile.
I would prefer taking a retake and then you can always cancel your score if there is no improvement.
Or if you can prove them with a very strong "silver lining" on why your quant score is less while how you are THE BEST for their academics, I believe you will be good to go.

In my opinion, you already have a very good score and there is no need to retake the Gmat.
Moreover, you also have an 8 on the IR which also proves that you are good in Quant.
I would suggest to start working on applications.
