Hi everyone,
Today I gave my GMAT and got a score of 740 , (Q 49, V 42) which I am delighted with, my IR score is slightly low at 4. I am planning to apply to IMD, Judge (Cambridge), HEC Paris and INSEAD. Can you please let me know whether I should try to explain the low IR Score to these schools ? I think I will get a decent score on my AWA, so I not worried about that.
I do not want to retake the GMAT , but would like to know if the IR can hamper my chances of admission to these schools?

First off, a 740/Q49 is an outstanding Score - and you can comfortably apply to ANY Business Schools that interest you. Many Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT consider one's IR when assessing an application, so you likely have nothing to worry about there. This is all meant to say that a retest is probably unnecessary. Since you've named some highly competitive Schools though, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. 740 with Q49 is a great score! Although an IR of 4 is not great, you may be fine because you have such a great overall score. That said, I agree that you should reach out to one of the many admissions consultants here on GMAT Club.
