Its for a jobhunt, but I figured if im applyin to a job, wouldn't the employer like to see that im motivated to attain my MBA?

do they want to hire somebody who is going to leave soon for an mba? even if you are planning to do it part time, seems like it would be a distraction.

Ya but i don't plan on doin my MBA for another 2-4yrs. I just wanted to get the GMAT outta the way so I don't have to fuss w/ it during my job.

What about companies that want you to go for ur MBA?

Everything I have read says no, do not put your GMAT score on your resume. In the consulting field, top firms ask for your GMAT score, but no one else cares. A 640 is a nice score but not a stellar one, so I wouldn't put it on anyway, but as others said, it would only really go on for your b-school app. Then again, they have a spot for it on the application, so it's not needed on the resume.

Long-winded answer, but listen to what everyone's telling you: leave it off.

Don't put it on your resume. Thats like putting your SAT on a resume. Companies dont care at this point. You aren't even supposed to put it on your resumes for B-school since the applications have spots for it and at interviews they usually want to be gmat score blind.

The only resume you put your GMAT on is for internships and right after school. Even then only certain employers, in certain industries care.

LOL. You're a black belt! I'd expect you to be persistent. ;-)

For the record, my husband is a black belt in tae kwon do! Just earned his belt a month ago. 18 months ago, he was laid up with a herniated disk and had to have surgery, and now, black belt!

Thats awsome! I can relate to that. Snapped my collar bone in half while doing some wrestling drills... had to get surgery and haven't trained for months....

Sucks... lost all my stamina, muscle, everything :(.

Grats to ur husband. Very nice achievment.

I love hearing stories like your husbands. I have a friend who was close to morbidly obese, he weighed 300+ a couple years ago. He was really into MMA and decided that BJJ would force him to exercise cause if he didnt he would get beat up. He has started fighting at 205 now and hopes to be down to 185 in the near future.

Only bad thing is going to work with a black eye and explaining what happened. Or even worse, like gmatblackbelt, breaking something and missing work because of that.
