I agree with OptimusPrep. Each person is different in knowledge skill. Also, your personal situation may be different. Some people study for the GMAT with a full time job, children to raise, etc. This could heavily affect how much time you can devote to studying for the GMAT and therefore your score. Since you just started studying, you may want to brush up on your math basics. Get a book that focuses on the basics, as these are often a foundation to all quant questions. You should also work on developing a personalized study plan. You can enlist a tutor's help to develop that strategy. The Economist GMAT Tutor, for example, offers a free one-on-one session with a tutor for people who sign up.
