I took an Online GMAT exam on November 11, 2021. It was flagged for administrative review. It has been more than 20 days, but the score is still pending. I'm just really waiting for the score for Grad school application and I have already missed two deadlines. Emailed and called customer service but nothing useful has been told. Does anyone know what's happening or who should I go to? SUPER URGENT.

What have you been told when you reach someone at GMAC by phone?

Just that they do not have the authority to tell me anything else than to wait.

Hi UlricaJ,

While many GMATers who take the At-home Exam receive the their Official results within a week, a certain percentage of those Test-takers have to wait far longer to receive their Official results. Were there any abnormal events during your Exam (re: did you Exam 'crash' and need to be restarted, were there issues with your testing environment that were noticed by the Exam Moderator, etc.)? I ask because these types of issues often lead to a longer review period after the Exam is completed - and that would help to explain why you are still waiting for your Official results.

The exam has to be restarted twice. And the proctor disappeared for half an hour when I was trying to tell her that I finished my test.

Hi UlricaJ,

If the Proctor was not actually doing his/her job for any measurable amount of time during your Exam, then THAT would be considered a significant issue - and the fact that your Exam 'crashed' twice doesn't help. It's likely that your Exam (along with all of the other Exams that that person was moderating that day) are going through a thorough review. Under those circumstances, it's possible that GMAC/Examity might only release all of those Scores once the full review of all Exams is completed. I assume that you did nothing wrong (re: you were not actively trying to cheat or break the Exam rules), so you likely have no choice but to wait until you receive word. Since you are facing an application deadline, then you might consider taking the GMAT again (either through the At-home option or at a Test Center) - as it's possible that you could receive that more recent result before you receive the results that you've been waiting on for over 6 weeks.

Thank you for the information. Due to the latest circumstance of COVID, I don't want to take the exam in the test center. But I have taken two online GMAT exams, is it possible for me to take it again online?

That stinks. Then I guess you just gotta hang tight. I mean or you could keep calling to see if someone else would be able/willing to help.

Hi UlricaJ,

Yes, the new rules allow Test-takers to take the At-home GMAT more than twice - so if you think that it's too risky to wait for your Official results to be released, then you should be able to take the At-home GMAT again (and potentially receive those results sooner).
