IMHO this thread will definitely help you..

gmat-study-plan-217827.html?fl=menu

Personally I will suggest you take a full length Diagnostic test at the earliest ( To determine your strength/weak areas) work on your weak areas by maintaining an error log and giving a couple of tests all the way to determine how you are progressing...

Happy prep

Hi Folks,

I am planning to give GMAT exam in the mid of September. I have started the preparation since mid March but am very inconsistent in studies due to hectic work schedule.

Can anyone suggest me a 90 day study plan topic wise so that I can target that and complete it in a given time frame.

For eg: Day 1 - Topic.....

Also suggest the amount of time that I would require for preparation to score 700+

Awaiting reply....

Regards
Manish Singh

Hey Manish

It looks like you need a study plan that you can stick to. Here is a customized 2-3 month study plan that can help boost your score: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

Use this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning.

As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.

Here is a sample SC video to help you start your journey: https://www.gmatpill.com/sentencecorrect ... ythons.mp4

Best of luck - we are here to help.

Hi,

I would recommend to do the same: start with a diagnostic test on the official GMATPrep app, just to know your base. You most likely have a better result on Q than V, but then you should start studying and improving.

Please visit my website if you would like more information.

Best,

Hi msingh77,

While 90 days of consistent study time could very well be enough for you to hit your goal score, we won't be able to come up with an organized Study Plan until we have a sense of your current skills, strengths and weaknesses. As such, you should plan to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up an appropriate study plan.

Hi Javier,

Could you please share the 90 day study plan that I can follow rigorously and how many hours at a stretch is advisable to study?

Hi msingh77,

Any time you take a FULL-LENGTH CAT, you want to make the experience as realistic as possible. Think about how you're going to take the Official GMAT - will it be through an App? Will it be on a laptop? If you have the option to practice on a desktop computer with a mouse, then you should - because that's almost certainly how you're going to end up taking the Official GMAT.

Hi msingh77,

We'll have a better sense of everything that you'll need to work on once you have taken that CAT as planned. For now, we need to see how you perform under test-like conditions so that we have an accurate assessment of your current skills.

Hi msingh77,

It's not clear what you're asking here - are you asking for the best time of day to study?

Since it's been 10 days since you stated that you were going to take a FULL-LENGTH CAT, did you end up taking that CAT? How did you score (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

I am asking the amount of time that should be devoted to Quant & Verbal. Due to some reason, I was unable to take the test, will surely take this weekend and will post you the results. I will take test from gmat prep software. Am planning to take GMAT in Sept, so just want to be sure how much time should I give on Quant & Verbal.

Hi msingh77,

Until we have a CAT result to look at, there's no real way to tell how much time you'll actually have to devote to Quant and Verbal. In general though, you would likely find it beneficial to spend some time working on Quant and Verbal each week. You should also plan to study in 'small chunks' throughout the week (as opposed to just 'cramming' your studies into the weekends.
