Dear All,
I am very sad to wirte this post. I planned to take the gMAT last year. however due to lack of prepration, thought of postponing it. Got involved in office work to the extent that i forgot to reschedule my exam and i came in the 7 day bracket, where cancelling my exam would mean no refunds. I decided to write the test, i thought writing the test would be much better an idea as against not appearing. As expected I ended up scoring 470.
I planned the exam and put in 3 months of real hardwork. I was good at maths and struggled in English. Completed OG twice, did kaplan once, took veritas practise tests, In veritas the highest i scored was 650( q 49, V 32). I also took GMAT prep software tests - Scored 610 ( q46, V 28) and 620 ( q44, V 30).
Unfortunately I scored 550 in the final test ( q 41, V 28) and yes i was devastated. I mismanged with time that day and i just attempted the questions , making guessess just to avoid penalty of unanswered questions.
I will still retake the tests, may by after 4-5 months. Please advise if retakes are actually a problem and seen as negatives in the profile. Also i aim of a 700 plus score. I am confident of maths but not verbal. what should be my strategy for verbal? I am confident on SC but not on RC and CR. What courses should I be taking? Please suggest if a 4-5 month wondow would be sufficient for me?
