Hi mumuk,

The 'admissions requirements' are written in a way that you might want to contact the School directly and ask for clarification. My interpretation is that the School doesn't want to spend any time reviewing an application from someone who scored below 500. By extension, I don't think that scoring a 500 would guarantee you anything (except that the School Admissions Committee would review your application). As such, I suspect that your goal should be to score HIGHER than a 500 (the higher the better).

Thankfully, this is a reasonable goal in the timeframe that you have. Since the deadline is December 1st, I would suggest that you take the GMAT in early November (so that you can take it again, if necessary at the end of November).

Since you're just starting out, it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to spend a little time familiarizing yourself with the basic content and question types before you take that CAT, then that's fine, but you shouldn't wait too long do take that initial Test. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Ok thank you for having analyzed my situation.

I am going to download Free GMATPrep Software and I will do a first test in order to evaluate my knowledge.

I will post the results as soon as I have done the test.
