Hi
I'm new to the gmat and got the official guide yesterday an older edition. What other material should I be using. I want to start my prep from next week from july-sep and take the tests in time for r2 appplications. I would have liked to go for r1 but not sure if I have enough time to do the test.
It would be of great help if you can advise me as to what books I need and websites, sample tests etc.
I downloaded the GMATPrep test yesterday and decided to sit it with no practice to see how I do.
Q39 V31 the total score was something like 570-580, skipped the AWA section
I think I can do better with practice and understanding the rules. I want to score in the regions of 700+ as am like many candidates targeting the top schools. If can get my score to the higher levels.

Thanks, I will look into that website and probably get the manhattan books once i've done the official guide. Apart from gmatprep what other tests can I get.
These guides are good for questions but where can I learn how to answer the verbal questions and gain an understanding of the methods used. As the original guide only has one page of help and then questions.
