Hi dagspielberg,

As has been said, this email is pretty standard, so I do not think you have anything to worry about.

Yes, this is expected. Unfortunately, there's nothing a test taker can do to speed the process up.

Thank you for your info. I was worried because my friend who took the test last year didn't receive such an email. :)
But it's all clear now. I woke up this morning with the follow-up email that my official score is finally available :D :blushing:

This is common for all 700 scores and above. We can apply with unofficial scores to any b-school and subsequently submit the official scores. No need to worry here if your unofficial score is above 700.

Yes, I think it's becoming more common now because my friend who took the test last year and scored above 700 didn't receive such an email. I was just worried that the score report will be delayed because the deadline is approaching and I can't afford to miss Round/Stage 1. ;) Thank you for clearing that up. I woke up this morning with the official score report finally available, wasn't expecting it to be this fast but I'm grateful regardless. :blushing:

Hi Scott! Yes, thank you for the info  . I indeed finally got my official score report when I woke up this morning, less than 12 hours after posting this   :please:

I don't think Kushchokhani meant that all test-takers scoring over 700 are flagged per se.
The review depends on a few things and mostly is related to the flagging in the AI of the video analytics and that can be caused by anything - moving lips, motion of your body, etc. Frankly, who knows and it is not something you should be concerned about. The false positives of scores being canceled are still very rare.

But bottom line, congratulations - glad the review was done quickly and as mentioned, you don't have to report your score on the day of the deadline. As long as you have an unofficial score, plug that into your application and submit that. Then a week, month, etc later when your score becomes available, make sure to "send" or "report" it to the business school.

Is this normal?

Probably fair to say this sort of thing is happening frequently. Hopefully, nothing to worry about. Had a student, for example, go from a 700 to a 760 in about 10 days on a retake. Their score went into review and took about 2 weeks "15 Business days" to become Official.

Had to be 14 days is my guess
Unless it was a test center and online test?

The student got a 700. They then booked an Online attempt which got them the 760. About 10 days between both attempts. Interesting how the GMAT allows a quicker scheduling between Online and in-person. Wouldn't be surprising if they one day make a standard wait time for any retake.

Ugh I got a similar email. I took the online exam on August 19th and scored a 760. I received an email shortly after saying my test is being further reviewed. It sounds like the turnaround for your exam was fairly quick, hoping mine goes smoothly as well.

I felt my exam went smoothly - I did have to move the camera angle a few times when I was writing on my whiteboard, but I did so every time as asked and made sure the angle was to the proctors’ liking. I know I took the test honestly and to my best effort, but the waiting period has me feeling anxious!

I hope you get your official report as soon as possible. I know how it feels, but if you're sure you didn't do anything odds during the test then there's nothing to worry about. Anyway, congrats on your score!

Hi BB! I used a bunch of resources, but I think the most helpful were:
- Target Test Prep (Went through 98% of the course)
- Jeff Sackmann's 1800 GMAT Math Questions (I didn't do all of them, but I went through the fundamental and challenge versions of my weak areas such as DS, PS, Roots & Exponents, Statistics & Sets)
- GMAT Club's Quant Tests (Did about 6-7 tests ranging from 40-49)
- For Verbal and CR, I mostly scoured through this forum. I did read the ManhattanPrep SC and PowerScore CR Bible, but honestly didn't feel like I retained much or found it as applicable in my practice sets. I DID find the Critical Reasoning Megathread to be extremely helpful (especially the "how to negate" series)
- The Comprehensive CR and SC collection of questions was what I drilled 1-2 weeks before my exam.

In terms of improving, I kept an error log in which I tracked what I sucked at and why I missed certain question types, etc.
