Hi all,
I have just sat for the real thing and got a 690 - Q49 V35. (with most probably a 6 from AWA)
I think I am a liiitle bit better than this at verbal (40-41 would be fair enough for me according to my latest practices) (reading comp. killed me/my time management with 4 ridiculously long and awkward passages-) Yet, I don't think I have neither the time nor the energy to get prepared (better) again and shoot for a 40+ at verbal.
Having said these, I am a little bit concerned about my verbal as far as my target schools are concerned (LBS, Chicago, NYU Stern, Cornell, Duke) however I was thinking whether my TOEFL score (112) could make up for it.
So I would love to hear your comments and insights regarding this. Many thanks in advance-

First, congratulations on a very solid GMAT score! A 35 in verbal is not bad by any means at all, especially since your first language was not English. The admissions staff will take note of this fact, along with your AWA and high Internet-based TOEFL score. Besides, if the admissions personnel have any doubts about your communication skills, view that as an opportunity to convince them otherwise in your essays and interviews.

Agreed with bmillan01. I think you should use the essays as an opportunity to exhibit your grasp of the language, albeit indirectly. However, that said, I think your TOEFL score is pretty great too!
