I love how GMAT toolkit lets you download a ton of practice questions based on categories and level of difficulties. First of all, I would like to say thanks and add an anecdote "you guys rock!" 
Second, I have a question. Where does the App get these questions from? Where does it get their OAs? Where does it get their explanations? Are these are the questions that people post here -if so then how do you guys filter them and add explanations etc?

Those questions are from GMAT Club's forum. The app scans threads and tries to recognize questions with right format and OA and then transform them into internal format as a separate set of questions. So, it actually saves forum discussion in much better format for practice on-the-go. Instead of explanations you get forum discussions that sometimes can be even better.
