I am currently in my pre final year of under graduation with majors in Chemical Engineering and Minors in Finance from BITS Pilani and I am planning to give my GMAT in my final year. Since work experience is required for B-schools I am planning to do a job and gain some experience and then apply for it. So will it be fine if I give my test next year i.e 2019 and apply for B-schools in next 3-4 years say in 2023-2024 considering my score is valid during application

Thanks

Since the score is valid for 5 years and you are likely to apply at least 2-3 years after taking the test, it is best to put it off as much as possible. Hence, you can take your GMAT at the end of final year or even just before starting your job. Once you start your job, you may not get time to study at all since newcomers are usually under a lot of pressure to perform.
Another strategy is to take the test about 2 months before starting your job so that you can retake if you are not satisfied with the score you get.
That said, it's never too early to start preparing, especially for the Verbal section since much of the improvement is seen over time.
