Hi All,
I have been preparing for the GMAT focus for the last 4 months. My confidence and performance in Quant have increased. it was my strength though from day 1. being a state board student my first language was Bengali, not English. I am facing serious issues in the verbal section. First I planned to take the GMAT in April end but my performance in the GMAT Verbal forced me to drop that idea and I a planning to take it by May end.
Till today I have been preparing with the help of Magoosh. I have heard that E-gmat is better for Verbal. Now purchasing again E-Gmat course will create pressure in my pocket. I need your suggestion to make an informed decision regarding that. So, If I target May then 2 months is left. Still, I am pending complete OG, all Full-length tests, and suffering in the verbal part. What would be your suggestion in this case? Purchasing a new course again and after completing that course, then going through the entire OG and taking full 9-10 tests would be possible in this short period. I can devote 3 hours every day and 10-12 hours over the weekend.
Please suggest.

Hi. I would recommend sharing your exact scores and exact area of weakness. Magoosh is a decent course. Most of the time throwing money at the problem just uses up the money if you don't know what the problem is. If you have not been able to improve and finish a lot of the material in 4 months, I feel you were not moving fast enough. Also, did it take you 4 months to realize you were not improving the verbal or perhaps that was clear after 2 weeks?

diganta.banerjee - the answer depends on the kind of help you need. If you are within 2 points of you target verbal score then you probably do not need another course as bb said. On the other hand, if you need to close a wider gap, then the course may help you, since we offer at least 4X as much skill building as Magoosh does.
Since you have completed the Magoosh course, the best way for you to figure out whether you need the e-GMAT course is by taking a look at the free trial. Go through the assumption module - we offer about 30% of the module (or about 5% of the CR course) in the free trial. Buy the course if you think you are learning something new.
Another thing - we offer a 7-day refund policy. Bottom line - even if, after purchasing the course, you feel that you are not learning something new, you can always ask for your money back.
