Hi All,
I have been preparing for GMAT since February and had scheduled an official GMAT in April end. Took a
Princeton Review mock for a generic idea:
670 Q45V38
I was pretty happy seeing this as I knew Quant score can easily scale up for me with practice and there's a good verbal base to climb up. But over the course of OG questions, GMATclub verbal tests (V31 twice) I lost my momentum yet somehow kept going. My
GMAT Official Practice Exams 3 and 4 results (kept aside 1 and 2 for pre-exam week) were as follows:
3.
710 Q50V36 (24/03)
4.
680 Q49V34 (01/04)
I was targeting for a 750+ score and seeing these results in April, I postponed my exam to
May last week. I knew with this extra practice period I can hit Q51 as well, but the main focus was to improve those verbal scores. I had already covered much of the OGs sporadically but never maintained a proper log of my mistakes. In my April leg, I began to do that as well but nothing seems to be working currently as my Manhanttan mock last week I got a V31 again
It pretty much seems to be that I have reached a ceiling in my Verbal scores but what puzzles me is that without all this extensive knowledge I gathered during last two months over multiple GMATClub posts, prep materials/videos,
my score was actually better earlier. (V38 in Feb to V31 being regular score now) I know that official mocks are better indicators and all but the difference won't be that big.
Want to hit target score in next three weeks, need help.[\b]
[b]Points to note:
1. Can't post link/attachments to score reports (before 5 posts) so didn't attach that.
2. I do feel a little bit anxious during my tests but that seems to be getting better day by day.
3. CR used to be a weak area but in last Manhattan mock I got 9/10 right (checked the difficulty of questions because my score is bad, maybe I got easier questions. But there was good amount of 700-800 questions(they were 65% hard on GMATClub as well)
4. I have kept my last 4 GMAC official tests for when I am actually in a better state i.e start hitting higher V30s or V40s (seems like latter is impossible now)
5. As for resources I have tried GMATNinja Youtube videos, TTP 1-month plan etc. Before this, I even tried e-gmat last year (but that can be ignored as I was never serious back then)
