Hi,
Just wondering because I have never seen anything on it. How does the GMAT SC and CR compare to the SAT versions. Obviously the math is much harder and the whole lack of the calculator thing but how do they compare? Also since it appears they are the same is it worth retaking my SAT if I can improve from like a 1400 to a 1550 +. Do consulting firms or really anyone else care?
Thanks
well I don't know what consulting firms think of what you just said but I know that:
SAT and GMAT is NOT the same. Take it from a guy who took the SAT around 4 years ago. Also, I can sense that you think of the old SAT which had a maximum of 1600 points. The new one has three sections with each being worth 800 points which equals to overall 2400 points.
My advice for you is not to take SAT for above mentioned purposes. SAT is only a placement test for undergraduate schools while GMAT is only a placement test for graduate business schools. No one else cares about these two tests.
So if you already have an undergrad degree, skip thinking of SAT.
Hope it helps
