Dear Friends,
To begin with i would like to thank all the people associated with this site. Thanks guys..you all are doing a great job.
Iam a Mechanical engg student from india, who is currently doing MS in Univ of mississippi.This summer i decided to give my gmat and spent the last 2 months preparing for it.
Got a 660 (88%) on my first and last attempt with a 47 in Q (83%)and 34 in V (72%).From my experience i felt that OG was the best book and a must do.Iam planning for an MBA in industrial management, production managment/ operations research, manufacutring management..etc...any mba with engg involved in it.
My first problem in Q was probability which i got wrong....the second was geometry which i figured out and the third was Standard deviation which again i cud not solve...i thought this was the reason i cud not max my quant..which i used to in the practice tests.
A little brush up on these topics will help. Verbal i was always a little weak sp didnt bother that much ...though i felt that RC was much easier than the Practice tests.
I would like to know is there anyone who shares the same preffered MBA'a and could help me with choosing the univs to apply for fall 2004.
Anyway i guess this is all i have to share....

About your preparation for the GMAT, did you use any other material apart from the OG? Would you say the OG covers much of the concepts that are tested on the GMAT (except maybe Std. Deviation etc.) ?
Well, about your choice for specialization in the MBA, I suggest you look at Business week rankings etc. for Supply Chain management/operations management. Wouldn't a talk with the people at the business school at Olemiss about your choice of sp. help?

thanks for ur wishes and advise..i wud speak to the staff at olemiss...and have already looked up BWeek.
Well i used kaplan, OG and princeton verbal and math workout..
Though i felt that OG was the best..in the sheer number of problems that they have along with the decent explanation for the solutions.
Princeton verbal workout was one book which had lots of tips for SC which i found was very usefull..
