Hello everyone,
First off I want to say a huge thank you to the gmatclub community. The website has been immensely helpful so far!!
I would like to ask for advice on how I can best spend the last couple of weeks before my GMAT exam. I am at a point of almost no return - 12 full days left to prepare for the exam. Some (hopefully) relevant details regarding my preparation up to this point:
In January: GMATPrep Exam 1 without preparation 710, did not review afterwards
Long gap: final semester of college!
Mid-May until now:
Skimmed through all
MGMAT guidesRetook GMATPrep Exam 1: 760; surprisingly, few problems that I recognized from first sitting
MGMAT CAT 1: 680 45Q 37V
MGMAT CAT 2: 670 45Q 36V
MGMAT CAT 3: 760 49Q 45V
I am hoping for 750+. I own but have yet to open OG15 and have 6 CATs left (GMATPrep Exam 2, extra 2 GMAC exams,
MGMAT CAT 4-6). I was planning to take each CAT every other day and review the following day, skimming the OG15 books in between. After reading through more debriefs/tips, I feel that this is not the optimal way to spend the time I have left.
At this point I am comfortable with the format and timing of the test. I learn a lot from reviewing the CATs, but taking them timed takes a lot of brain power and energy.. Should I give up the
MGMAT CATs and study the concepts more/drill through problem sets? Or should I try to cram in the CATs as well as studying concepts and doing problems? I think I can gain a lot more consistency in quant from reviewing concepts, but I also think the higher score in
MGMAT CAT 3 resulted mostly from being able to focus better due to higher stamina. So I guess the tradeoff is building stamina/filling gaps in knowledge vs. building consistency in quant. I know this is a super confusing post, and I am not asking straightforward questions. But I thought the experts on this forum could help. I would appreciate any advice!
I would love to postpone my exam by a week or so, but I wisely scheduled it two days before I leave for a trip to Europe
