Hi guys ! I would like to ask you a question
How does the Gmatclub GMAT estimate score work ? My estimator says that my Verbal level is 25, which is strange since I have took some Qs and I have : 9/10 inn the sub 600, 18/31in the 600/700 and only 3/21 in the 700+ (actually, I trained a lot more on this forum but many questions aren't collected by this estimator, even if tagged with their actual level, and in the RC Qs I don't use gmatclub timer, so I don't have any historical data of them). Based on these data, I should expect a higher score: I could say that in the Verbal, training in this forum (which is different from taking a whole CAT, I do know it), I should be in the 600-700 band, so higher than a mere 25, shouldn't I ?

We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The best we can do is get close.

In terms of our scoring, many of our students report scores that are +/- 30 points from their actual GMAT test and so are a relatively good indicator of their performance. That said, no practice test can perfectly replicate the actual score algorithm, but this is quite close.
We can't comment for other tests but do note that no test prep company's algorithm will exactly match the real thing. The best we can do is get close.
