Thanks. Where did you find the GMAT Prep 2011 edition?

I have downloaded a copy from MBA.com but it is version 1.2 and definitely not 2011

Hi BB,

I haven't yet checked. But i assumed that since the current year is 2011, GMAC must have a copyright of 2011 at present.

Till now, I have just done the GmatPrep v2006.

My mistake.

I should have said "Difference between Gmatprep 2006 version and current version".

I believe the 2006 is the current versions.

There are 2 versions as far as I am aware:
- 2005
- 2006

Both are posted here: gmat-prep-power-prep-official-free-gmat-tests-77548.html

My bad. :-( I should have been careful before entering the wrong version details.

You are absolutely right. There are 2 versions. V1.1 (2005) and V1.2 (current).

Since the version issue has been taken care of, can you answer my 2 queries.

1. Is there a difference between the level of difficulty of questions between the 2 versions
2. I found the RC of GmatPrep 2006 version pretty easy to comprehend, but I have heard a lot about the increasing level of difficulty of the real GMAT RC passages. Any comments here?

If you dont, please update me whenever you get any information.

Thanks a ton.

I don't think there is much of a difficulty difference. From what i have heard is that the main difference is that all (almost all) OG 12 questions have been excluded from the GMAT Prep to avoid overlap (there is OG 11 overlap). Also, this was when GMAC was switching from ETS to Pearson, so part of the change was to convert it to Pearson and reflect some of those "brand" changes, which may not had to do much with content or algorithm.

Bottom line I am not sure there is much difference....
