Hello everyone!
I am a second year economics and management undergraduate student in Bocconi, and I just took my first GMATprep simulation downloaded from mba com scoring 600.
First a little bit about me :
I will be applying for CEMS MIM in a few school in September (Esade, Lse, HEC, Sankt Gallen, Rotterdam) and to other top 20 master in management program (LBS, ESCP, Essec, IE). I want to apply in September in order to enjoy the early round advantage, and even though I have a fairly good profile (3,73 equivalent GPA, internships abroad, good recommendation letters and high quality and variety ECs) I still have to score 680+ in the GMAT to stand a good chance to get into these schools.
Coming back to my simulation, I did it completely cold (I didn't even know there was an integrated reasoning part) and got a 600 (Q 36, V 36) which was quite of a surprise since I consider myself strong in maths. Breaking down the score, I noticed that I missed almost every data sufficiency questions and some other requiring geometry formulas, which I completely forgot after high school.
My question is :
According to you, is possible to bring this score to 680/700 in four weeks intense studying (no school, no work, I can just allocate my whole day to it)? Because from now until end of May I am busy with university exams, and then I have just 4/5 weeks off before my internship starts. How should I structure my studying?
Finally, I think that from now until end of May, I would still be able to find 3 hours per week to study for GMAT, what would you suggest to do in these 3 hours? I was thinking about doing a
MGMAT test every week, so as to build up my stamina, but maybe you have better ideas.
Thank you all for the attention, I wish you good luck for the upcoming GMATs you may have
p.s. I already have two books a Friend of mine gave to me, Kaplan and GMAC 2015, but I haven't opened them yet
